Ronnit Nazarian, Psy. D, is a post doctoral psychologist who received her PsyD in school psychology at St. John’s University. Dr. Nazarian has expertise in the treatment of anxiety disorder, depression, and relationship difficulties in children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Nazarian has co-led multiple social anxiety groups to overcome daily social stressors as well as groups focused on Dialectical Behavior Therapy to reduce risky behaviors and intense emotions.
Dr. Nazarian has worked in multiple clinical and school settings working with adolescents and adults providing therapy, conducting psychological assessments, developing individualized education plans, and assisting clients with social stressors, depression, anxiety, and substance use. Dr. Nazarian worked at the Yale Parenting Center and developed techniques on effective parenting strategies for children exhibiting behavioral problems.
Dr. Nazarian tailors evidence-based treatments to each of her client’s needs. She strives to provide her clients with the support and tools they need to be successful in overcoming their individual struggles while following the client’s pace. Dr. Nazarian uses techniques from various therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy-Informed.
