Dr. Britt Gottlich is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York State. She has expertise in the evaluation and treatment of addictions and trauma in adolescents and adults. Dr. Gottlich also has a strong background in couples/marital and family therapy. She believes in providing a safe therapeutic environment for individuals and couples/families to process their past, problematic behaviors, and finding realistic solutions.
Dr. Gottlich is trained and well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Hypnosis, and Biofeedback. These treatment approaches have been used to intervene with a variety of diagnoses, specifically, Substance Use Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, ADD and ADHD, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Dr. Gottlich treats each individual client with their own unique treatment plan based on their symptoms, motivation, and goals. Dr. Gottlich believes in involving family and support systems, when appropriate, into treatment, to enhance accountability and long-term effectiveness.
Dr. Gottlich has an additional skill set in the evaluation and treatment of ADD and ADHD. She is trained in performing thorough neuropsychological evaluations for diagnostic purposes, as well as the treatment for those symptoms and behaviors.
