Privacy and Discretion

While most addiction treatment was traditionally based in clinic settings or in large treatment programs, the development of a new specialty – Addiction Psychiatry – allows for all stages of treatment of addiction to be conducted in a private office setting. As an Addiction Psychiatrist, Dr. Glazer is fully trained in both the newest medical and evidence-based psychotherapeutic modalities. In fact, he is nationally recognized for his individual work with physicians and other professionals.

For many professionals, the idea of getting treatment for addiction in a treatment program is a huge barrier to entering treatment. Most addiction treatment programs are not discrete, groups can be very large, and other clients may be mandated for treatment in lieu of prison. At Fifth Avenue Psychiatry, addiction treatment is provided at the highest level: a comprehensive treatment of addiction and alcoholism, by doctors, and in a private, discrete psychotherapy office located on Manhattan’s upper east side.
